3 Fonteinen Hommage
Before opening: This will be my third Fonteinen beverage. So far, they really do follow their legends that are regaled by the beer snobs around town. They’ve truly perfected their art and craft.

Beer Experience:
Poured from 1 pt. 9.4 fl. oz. bottle into a Tulip Glass
Appearance:
Pours light red and hazy. On the pour there’s a two finger white foamy head that fades quickly.
Aroma:
Champagne-y again with a burst of cherry and raspberries. Some stank on there. Funky.
Taste:
Very TART. Has acidity and tastes light/delicate but slams the palate with sour and funk. Not enough acidity to make you pucker but you definitely won’t miss it. Can burn your nostrils a bit.
Finish:
Medium all round. Dry and bitter finish. Leaves sort of a dingy aftertaste with subtle nods to raspberry.
Summary:
Pours nice light red and pinkish. A wonderful color and a delight drink to have on hand. I can say that this lambic is delicious, but it’s not my favorite. I’ll be keeping my eye out for other 3F releases but this one is lower on my list just out of preference. The way everything marries together is worth drinking at least once!
