So you’re probably wondering who these nobodies are? We are just daily craft beer drivers. We started recording ourselves since we love talking about the beer we drink. We always end up talking about the latest and greatest beer we had and are absolutely blown away from so many new flavor profiles. Since we did this as a norm for years…we decided to amp things up a bit and start recording and give ourselves a chance to meet the makers by becoming what we never thought we’d be… a “Podcast”. We are now our own worst enemy and that gives us another reason to drink!
The podcast has two constant agitators, Richard Freshwater and Mitchell Cooley. Both hosts have been TN and GA based their whole lives. We’ve lived through the craft beer “bang” that Nashville has had and are now struggling to keep up with all the new craft beers and new breweries available to us! Only you can help us by sending and requesting beers for us to drown in and discuss!
How did we get into beer? That’s a fun question. Craft Beer sort of… found us! Both of us got into the craft beer scene here in Nashville, TN. 10 years ago (depending on the year it is now, but let’s just say anytime before 2015) craft beer wasn’t as commonly scene, in the Nashville scene anyway, anywhere. We had only a few major staples that started craft beer in downtown Nashville (Yazoo, Blackstone, Czanns, to name a few that come to mind). We cover what really pulled us into the amazing works these brewers make in our recordings, almost religiously, and we drink many different styles. Some styles (there’s so fuckin many) are American Pale Ale, India Pale Ale (IPA), Red Ale, Belgians, Germanic beers (that’s a cop-out but seriously check all of these out when you can travel over the Atlantic), Lagers, Pilsners, Koji infused beer, Milkshake IPAs, DIPAs, TIPAs, milk stout, bourbon barrel-aged beer, cask or steel barrel-aged beer, barleywines, sours, gose, even Colt 45s. Whatever we can get our hands on! Seriously though, we are always on the search for the perfect craft beer.
When you listen to us, expect to hear about beer. Some whiskeys and bourbons make their way in as well. Sake too. Gin as well. Really, any medicine has a possibility to be on the show. Send us some recommendations. We also enjoy cigars, craft beer pairings with food trucks, fancy cuisines, BBQ and smokeables. We also smoke our own foods quite regularly, so there will always be some sort of snacky mention.
